The cenote dives are unique to our region and accessible for any certified diver (From Open Water Diver).
It is an amazing natural phenomenon that exists only here in Mexico, with hundreds of Cenote Parks between Playa del Carmen and Tulum. However, not all of them are accessible to divers and some of them require advanced cave training.
Luckily, there are about 18 cenotes which are easy to access and open to any certified diver. Each one is slightly different from the other, but all of them are 100% beautiful and totally out of this world! Full of stalactites, stalagmites, cave fish diversity and exceptional vegetation.
Sunbeams penetrate deep and give the feeling of a magical laser show, a collision between salty seawater and sweet rainwater that remain separated form the popular alkaline stripe.
All of this beauty lies in the heart of the Quintana Roo’s wild jungle.
On the day of the activity, we will meet at 8:00am in Barefoot Dive Center, Playa del Carmen. We’ll head out with a car, along with our professional guide and the full equipment we need for cenote diving.
Between the dives you will have tasty and healthy sandwiches to snack on as well as fruit and drinks.
Estimated return to the dive center in Playa Del Carmen is 15:00 (depending on the cenotes we visited).
